Broken heart

Standard

Thursday 1st March

.

My broken heart hurts

For you I cannot see

Really wonder why

You’re not here with me

.

Every day I remember

What I had is gone

Then sometimes I smile

Those memories live on

.

Missing you my sweetheart

So sorry we didn’t see you today

Too much snow and ice on roads

Walked down town, slip-sliding away

.

The beach still covered in snow

Chapel on the Island

Home again, snow began, Island barely visible

Feeding blackbirds in the garden ~ blueberries, cereal, sunflower seeds, apples ~they were very hungry

Still very bitter

  1. Just like me, not forgetting the poor little Birds, we have so many Seagulls that come and land on my Barn roof and try to take the food off the Bird table. Poor things have been driven in for lack of fish in sea. Take care of yourself.

  2. A poem of tender thoughts and another post will snow still hanging around. The blackbirds are enjoying the nice treats you laid out for them … they are appreciative as you gave them the perfect food to keep them sustained through this cold and snowy weather when have a hard time fending for themselves. You have a good heart Melanie.

    • Thank you so much for stopping by, for reading, and your kind thoughts.
I’m sure you honour and remember Charlotte in so many ways.
