Friday 30th September
Leaves fall
Short days
Recall
Holidays.
Blazing fire
Chill breeze
Warm attire
Rough seas.
Crisp air
Bright star
Up there
You are.
Thinking of you always
Missing you every day
Love you forever
Darling Angel son.

Oh my, such praise indeed.
I don’t really think of myself as a poet: I have been a teacher of mathematics and computer science all my adult life. But I’ve always loved literature and poetry.
Losing my son has prompted me to write as I do; it’s just a way to remember, and the words just appear.
Thank you again.

It’s not just words. It’s the meanings and imagery you represent too. Every time I feel i know him a little better.
