Saturday 21st January
I brought Nan to see you today
With some flowers for your birthday
A little belated; it was last Wednesday
But she wanted to add to your bouquet.
In sadness we stood, wiped tears away
Looking up at the sky with clouds of grey
I know somewhere your head does lay
But in my heart is where you stay.
I miss you so much
Love you forever
Darling Angel son

Reading this breaks my heart. How sad to lose a child. Hugs & peace to you. Lori

Somehow it is even more poignant for a Nan to outlive a grandchild

So true.
My mum is eighty five this year; Frank would have been thirty two.
I wish he had been with us for a little while longer.

My Mum is 94; a younger brother died almost 3 years ago at 70. A child going first is so painful – as you well know
