Shaded canopy
Beneath a palm tree

Quiet and carefree
Dementia, you see
Own reality
Looked after safely
Carers so lovely
.
(You would have loved the scones
Piled high with clotted cream
Spoonfuls of strawberry jam
Delicious, an absolute dream)

She has been in this care home for almost five years, and the staff really do go above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable, happy and safe.

Dementia is so cruel, but I love the photo of your mum and it’s wonderful she can have these times of happiness and be well looked after by the staff at her care home. The cream tea sounds lovely. My own mum loves those too.xx
