Bath

Standard
Saturday 29th May

Today was all about food
Making for such a good mood
Simply a perfect day
To Bath on a Saturday

Wandering around and shopping
Every now and again stopping
A superb lunchtime tea
Beneath a huge plane tree

Bathampton Mill upon Avon
Most of the tables were taken
But we needn't have worried
There's no need to be hurried

Ice cold beer in the sun
Watching the water run
Over the weir down stream
Spiralling eddies gleam

All the while thinking of you
And everything you'd do
My dear sweet Angel son
Now you're forever young

North Parade Road, Bath
The River Avon
Pulteney Bridge
Abbey Green
Lunchtime tea with carrot cake
The amazing London Plane Tree
Sitting in the shade
Still quite warm
The London Plane tree was planted in 1793
Bath Abbey
Front entrance
Parade Gardens
The Bathampton Mill
And the weir
A steady flow of water
Ice cold beer
My nourish bowl
Gary’s burger
My PornStar Martini Eton Mess pudding!
A lovely day

It really was great to leave home for a few days and enjoy restaurants, cafĆ©s, bars and the gorgeous outdoors. (The food really was superb šŸ˜Š)

  1. Bath is a beautiful city. I visited about 20 years ago as one of the chaperones for my sonā€™s men & boys choir which attended a choir school at Bath Abbey. They all loved the time there. Thanks for bringing back great memories.

    • Thank you so much for stopping by and for coming along.
We love Bath too, and always seem to discover a new square, or walkway, or a different cafƩ tucked away.
There is so much history around every corner.

    • Well, you really must šŸ˜ŠāœˆļøšŸ˜Š
Look through the travel brochures, pick a starting point, then jump on an aeroplane ~ you won’t be disappointed.
