Letting it all go

Standard
Friday 20th August

Letting it all go
To see what stays
Like a bunch of balloons
Rising in the haze
It's my love for you
In so many ways
Helping me through
'Til the end of days

Love you both
Darling sons

Dulce sueños

Standard
Tuesday 17th August

Sailing away
In my sweet dreams
Dulce sueños
That's what it means
Far and away
Waves meet sunbeams
Edge of the world
Or so it seems

Love you both
Treasured sons

Falmouth marina this morning
Overcast, but warm
Variety of watercraft
British Auxiliary Vessel (Argus) in the background

Porthmeor Beach

Standard
Sunday 15th August

It's Porthmeor Beach
Sitting in the rain
You're gonna get wet
In the sea again
The holidaymakers
Should've gone to Spain
Have a 'staycation'
But shouldn't complain
Too many people
Town is under strain
Queues for fish and chips
Really quite insane

Love you both
Precious sons

So many, even in the drizzle
And in the sea, too
Looked after by Lifeguards
Many stones to negotiate to reach the sea
A little brightness
Low tide
Still overcast

Thirty nine years

Standard
Saturday 14th August

Anniversary
Thirty nine years
Celebrate with
Some ice cold beers

Love you both
Darling sons

We parked the car on Hayle dunes
Walked down the path
And sat overlooking the estuary
A little light refreshment
St Ives in the distance
Across the River Hayle
Sunshine and clouds
Breezy at times
Lots of space on the dunes

And so it seems

Standard
Friday 13th August

And so it seems
That in my dreams
Insomnia schemes
Taking to extremes
Awakening regimes
By whatever means
But starlight beams
Silencing screams
As sleep redeems

Thinking of you
Beloved sons
