Questions abound

Standard
Wednesday 31st May

Questions abound
Seeking wisdom's embrace
Answers elude
Like whispers in space

Why should we cease
Inquiring and bold
When the journey of knowledge
Is a treasure untold?

Could we find solace
Searching for the unknown
Would we discover
The seeds we have sown?

Should we let curiosity
Guide our way
Embracing the uncertainty
Day by day?

Cloudy, and much cooler this morning, but the sun shone this afternoon

Would the world change…

Standard
Tuesday 30th May

Would the world change if I dared to dream?
If possibilities danced on a silver stream
Should I embrace risks that lie ahead
Or dwell in comfort, where fears are fed

If only the stars could whisper their tale
Why should I falter, let courage pale?
Could I unlock secrets of the universe vast
Would I find truths that forever will last?

Love you so much

Just so long

Standard
Monday 29th May

Just so long
As I stay true
To myself, my goals
I'll make it through
So far I've come
With each step I take
My spirits rise
My heart does awake

St Ives harbour in the background
A very busy Porthmeor Beach
We’ve walked around to Porthgwidden Beach
A friendly starling joined us for cake, when we stopped for coffee
Porthgwidden Beach and the Island
Looking down on Kitty’s Corner
Very busy on the harbour
Kitty’s Corner at high tide
Lots of self-drive boats available

Three thousand days

Standard
Sunday 28th May

The anniversary
Of
My
Birth

Three thousand days since
You left
This
Earth
Three thousand days without you near
A pain that cuts so deep, I fear
You were a son, a light so bright
A laughter, joy and pure delight
A precious gift, a ray of sun
But then, too soon, your life was done
Though you're gone, and can't be here
Your love and spirit seem crystal clear
For in my heart, you'll always be
My son, my love, everything to me
I'll remember you with every smile
And hold your memory, mile by mile
And know that though we are apart
You are with me, always in my heart

Love you so much

Tranquil whispers

Standard
Saturday 27th May

Amidst the tranquil whispers of the shore
Where fishing boats sway and sailboats explore
There's a harmony of water, a gentle melody
Paddleboarders glide with easygoing glee

Racing dinghies enhance the horizon's hue
Their sails unfurled, embracing the view
Kayaks dance upon the shimmering tide
A graceful ballet upon the ocean wide

Another warm day
High tide in the harbour
Very busy in Kitty’s Corner
Lots of ways to enjoy the water
The path to Porthminster Beach
Many holidaymakers on the beach
Walking back in the shade
Looking along the beach
A perfect spot
Saturday regatta taking place
Hues of blues
I’m sure the water is quite chilly, though!

A symphony of moments

Standard
Friday 26th May

A symphony of moments
A vibrant seaside choir
With nature's rhapsody
And dreams that never tire
Warm sunshine at low tide
As many children play
A tapestry of bliss
Captured in the bay

Another beautiful day
Porthmeor Beach
A chilly wind blows across the sand
A busy Wharf
Away from the crowds in the church gardens, for coffee and cake
St Ives Parish Church
St Ives Bay looking towards Hayle Towans
A little windy for the pleasure boats to take tourists out in the bay

In the bustling harbour

Standard
Thursday 25th May

In the bustling harbour
Children dance and play
Their laughter like music
Brightening the day

Colourful fishing boats
Add to the tranquil scene
Those painted hulls
Will sail on waters serene

Wet sand beneath toes
A canvas of delight
Footprints and memories
Intertwine and take flight

Ice creams in hand
Sweet indulgence in the air
Melting joys on tongues
A moment beyond compare

Beneath shade of umbrellas
People find respite
Sharing stories and laughter
Their worries are slight
