Separate world

Standard

Saturday 29th September

.

Now, without you, I remain…..

Walking down a different path

Breathing along unfamiliar routes

Smiling in another life

Moving in an unexpected direction

Living in a separate world

.

And I miss you

Love you so much

Sunshine and shadows on Porthmeor Beach

Harbour reflections

Sailing dinghies coming in after the Saturday regatta

My little Frankie

Standard

Friday 28th September

.

How’s my little Frankie?

Your dear Nan asked today

He’s gone off to heaven

I struggled quietly to say

But you didn’t tell me

Her tears fall in dismay

.

Dementia’s a curse

Her mind in disarray

Confusion, lost mem’ries

Pain that won’t go away

I did love him so much

The games we used to play

.

Trying to remember

When life was all okay

A time of innocence

Filled with fun everyday

How things change so swiftly

Now the brain does decay

.

We all loved you so much

Wish you were here to stay

Nan cannot understand

That you have passed away

My dear little Frankie

In heaven’s where you lay

.

Love you so much

Sweet Angel son

But you’re not here

Standard

Wednesday 26th September

.

The sun shines down

A warm, glowing light

But you’re not here

So it’s not as bright

.

The seabirds soar

Flying so high

But you’re not here

My butterfly

.

The waves roll in

Cresting white foam

But you’re not here

Should be at home

.

Stars shine bright

The harvest moon too

But you’re not here

To heaven you flew

.

Miss you everyday

Love you more

I write a few lines

Standard

Monday 24th September

.

I write a few lines, everyday

Remembering my precious son

I don’t know when this process stops

Perhaps when my life here is done

.

Just talking to him in this way

Has become quite special to me

Our quiet time to share my thoughts

Close to my heart is where he’ll be

.

Love you forever

My darling Angel son

Low tide in the harbour

An hour or so later, and the boats are floating

Cool and breezy on Porthmeor Beach

Precious moments

Standard

Sunday 23rd September

.

Such a lonely and solitary walk

A terribly personal feeling

Emotions carefully camouflaged

With all this grief I’m dealing

.

No one talks of the heartache

Not bringing pain to the surface

Treading on fragile eggshells

Fearful of hurting on purpose

.

And so I’m left to talk with you here

Writing down thoughts and sentiments

Avoiding the unparralleled paralysis

Remembering all the precious moments

.

Love you sweetie

Precious Angel son

Red flags on Porthmeor Beach

Harbour colours

High tide

Thoughts and memories

Standard

Friday 21st September

.

Early autumn days

Sparkling, windswept seas

Surfers riding waves

Thoughts and memories

.

Blue skies and sunshine

Seagulls in the breeze

Boats in the harbour

Thoughts and memories

.

Long, bracing rambles

Rustling, trembling trees

Copper leaves blown down

Thoughts and memories

.

Sentiments and sighs

Life’s no guarantees

So carpe diem

Thoughts and memories

.

Love you forever

My darling Angel son
