Then, it was simpler 
A time of carefree skies 
When laughter filled the quiet 
And life knew no disguise 

Then, the world was softer 
With every step we took 
No shadows crept behind us 
No worries to unhook 

But time, it moves so swiftly 
And seasons change their hue 
Yet in my heart, I keep it
