Monday 10th April
Green blades grass
Spring flowers in bloom
Bring back memories
Like a sweet perfume
Of the times we spent
In nature's embrace
Finding peace and love
In our family place
Love you so much
Treasured sons
Beloved Mum

Sunday 9th April
A Sunday drive through narrow lanes
Recalling times spent with you
Memories of laughter and love remains
As we soak in the scenic view
Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

Saturday 8th April
The permanence of child loss
A wound that never truly heals
A constant ache, a heavy cost
That every parent feels
Memories of what could have been
Haunt us every single day
Dreams we had, now left unseen
As we try to find our way
Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

Friday 7th April
Sunshine
Making the birds sing
Reminds me
Of the joy you'd bring
A smile so bright
And your heart so pure
Endless love
Of that I'm sure
Love you so much
Treasured sons
Beloved Mum

Thursday 6th April
I think of all the mysteries
That the night sky holds
Of all the secrets waiting
As the future unfolds
And slowly my worries
They begin to fade away
As I'm filled with wonder
At the beauty of the day
Love you so much
Beloved sons
Treasured Mum

Wednesday 5th April
A life lost
Is a song cut short
A melody
Left hanging in the air
A dance
With no final step
A rhythm disrupted
With a soul laid bare
A fairytale
Without an ending
Trip of a lifetime
On a train to nowhere
Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

Tuesday 4th April
The sea's breaking waves
A mighty roar
Remind me of the times
We spent on the shore
Laughing and playing
So carefree
Those moments with you
Mean the world to me
Love you so much
Treasured sons
Beloved Mum

Monday 3rd April
So many memories
Held so dear
Reminds me of the love
That's always near
And though you're gone
You're still a part
Of my life and soul
Forever in my heart
Love you so much
Treasured sons
Beloved Mum

Sunday 2nd April
Grief's journey changes
As it often will
Let it ebb and flow
And have its fill
For in the end
It's a sign we cared
That love, even in loss
Can never be impaired
Love you so much
Treasured sons
Beloved Mum

Saturday 1st April
The first of April
Time for awareness
Lumps, bumps and swellings
Do not feel helpless
Testicular cancer
Need to check your balls
Don’t be embarrassed
Heed the doctor’s calls
Teens to the thirties
Are mostly affected
Do yourself a favour
Shouldn’t be neglected
Don’t leave it too late
For it can be cured
If it’s caught early
You can rest assured
A taboo subject
Whispered quietly
Can’t happen to me
Can fill with anxiety
Grab life by the goolies
But if there’s a pain
Have your tackle checked out
Your health to maintain
Love you sweetheart
Treasured Angel son
Now forever young

(I wrote this five years ago, to spread awareness of Testicular Cancer, after we lost Frank in 2015)
