Complicated

Standard
Tuesday 26th July

Life can be complicated
But I will try to be content
So that when I do look back
I can see a life well spent

Love you both so much

The heart

Standard
Monday 25th July

The heart
Never forgets
The mind
Has no regrets
And time
Pays its debts

Passing clouds
Have silhouettes
Even though
Dark as it gets
Our love finds
Many outlets

Love you both so much
Precious sons

Cloudy and grey over the town this morning
Drizzle is on its way!

I do think it’s okay

Standard
Saturday 23rd July

I do think it's okay
Looking back at the past
I won't stay there that long
Don't want sadness to last
But I do understand
Won't let shadows overcast
Those precious memories
Of a love, so vast

Love you both so much
Treasured sons

Cloudy and grey
Calm seas
A quieter day in town
Grey clouds over Hayle
Those beady eyes on the lookout for human food
An almost empty beach
Decent surfing waves
Man’s Head

It’s time to stop

Standard
Friday 22nd July

It's time to stop
And recognise
All that's here
With open eyes
The salty air
Cloudless blue skies
Breeze through the trees
Every sunrise
Hope-filled balance
And that's the prize

Love you both so much
Precious sons

Calm in the harbour this morning
Windows and rooftops along the Wharf
West Porthmeor
Surf School preparing lessons
A little cloudy this afternoon
A great stop to people watch
Outgoing tide in the harbour
The sun’s coming out

A much cooler day

Standard
Wednesday 20th July

A much cooler day
Started damp and grey
Slowly the sky parted
All the clouds departed

Love you both so much
Treasured sons

Cornish mizzle covers the town this morning
This afternoon was much, much brighter
But certainly not as hot as the last few days
Less people on the beach
West Porthmeor Beach
Quite breezy as well
Smeaton’s Pier
Many fishing boats still in the harbour
Warming up nicely (reaching about 19°C, about fifteen degrees cooler than it has been!).

A blue, smoky haze

Standard
Tuesday 19th July

A blue, smoky haze
Sweeps over the town
Gorse fires at Zennor
The flames won't die down
Those tinder dry fields
Just so crisp and brown

Love you both so much
Treasured sons

Man’s Head. A few miles to the west is where the fields on the cliffs are ablaze
Porthmeor Beach
Even on the beach, you can smell the smoke
A restored lifeboat: The Always Ready
A quiet corner of the harbour
Hazy, smoky, a little acrid
The Always Ready
A busy harbour front

Summer vibes

Standard
Monday 18th July

Summer vibes
Ebbing tides
Just describes
More besides
Surfer rides
Wave that glides
Warmth resides
Fun provides
Water slides
Happy tribes

Love you both so much
Precious sons

Looking down on the harbour this morning
Man’s Head
Many in the sea, cooling off
So busy again
Another low tide
Walking across to Porthminster Beach
The harbour
Hazy skies, but very hot indeed
Agapanthus

My favourite paths

Standard
Sunday 17th July

My favourite paths
Are those that lead
Down to the beach
Where stress is freed
To see the sea
Think at slow speed
Breathe in the air
That's all I need

Love you both so much
Treasured sons

Porthmeor Beach
Busy and hot
Very low tide
West Porthmeor
Gowner Rock exposed
Jumping in from the rocks
Walking back up Porthmeor Hill
Looking through the agapanthus
