Sunday 5th September
Walk with me
For a while
Hear my heart
Mile after mile
Tread this path
Over the stile
Feel the aches
Look for the smile
For it's there
Borne with style
Love both of you
Beloved sons

Love your poem, and the beautiful pictures!! Also love the pictures of the bike racers–we are fans of Mark Cavendish too!! 🙂

Thank you very much indeed.
The bike riders were going so fast, as were the police cars and motorbike outriders. The Cornish roads are quite narrow, twisty, with many hills; a superhuman challenge for them all.

My son Sean wanted to be one of those bike racers, (he was hit by a car while out on a training ride), so every year, we watch Le Tour de France in memory of him. We also used to do an annual bike race/ride ride in memory of him, but have not for a few years, (Covid and family issues.) So your pictures have great, great meaning to me!! Thank you! 🙂

You are so very welcome.
I’m sure Sean is up there, cycling and racing along with the Tour of Britain riders.
Much love x
