Wind-blown drizzle

Standard
Sunday 19th June

Wind-blown drizzle
Clings, so dismal
Where is the sun?
Asks everyone
An empty beach
Warmth out of reach
Come back summer
Blue sky stunner

Love you both so much
Treasured sons
xxxxx
The Island
Grey skies and choppy seas
Empty beach today
Porthmeor Central, where we stopped for a cappuccino and a slice of apple and cinnamon flapjack

  1. I love your poetry. I cry with you today. Our children, our grandchildren. Our wealth. I do understand your words. I buried two twenty year brother. They committed suicide in 1988 and 1989. Everyday I wish to hear their laughter. I hope you are doing well and thank you for sharing your thoughts. I do appreciate.

  2. We’re feeling the same way: “Come back Summer!” It was here for a day… and now we have cool drizzle here, too. I am not complaining, though because some people are sweltering in excessive heat. I’d rather have the cool drizzle!
