An unraveling into chaos

Standard

Tuesday 18th March

An unraveling into chaos
Mind monsters without pathos
Emotions screaming, hidden anguish
Recalling what was, demons to vanquish

In shadows deep, they twist and turn
Feeding on doubts, making spirits burn
Yet within the tumult, a flicker remains
A spark of hope to break those chains

Through battles fought in silent night
Seeking the dawn, the guiding light
For though the mind may turn and toss
Resilience rises from the loss

Love you so much
Beloved sons

With every dawn

Standard
Monday 17th March

With every dawn
The world’s reborn

Each petal kissed
With gentle mist

Flowers bright
Springtime light

Those colours bold
Begin to unfold

Love you so much
Precious sons

A sunny Sunday

Standard
Sunday 16th March

Coffee brews slowly
Its aroma a song
A sip feels like comfort
When the day feels long

Birds chirp outside
Melodious refrain
Nature’s soft whispers
A symphony again

As afternoon lingers
With sunlight aglow
Breathing in stillness
Letting thoughts flow

A sunny Sunday
Where time drifts away
In the calming embrace
Of a nice Beaujolais

Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

Crisp, clean air

Standard
Saturday 15th March

Crisp, clean air
Against the face
Blue skies stretch
Over endless space

Leaves they dance
As sunlight gleams
The world alive
In waking dreams

Yet within
A quiet tune
Whispers doubt
Beneath the moon

Sighs may linger
Soft and low
But in time
They’ll gently go

Love you so much
Beloved sons

Although

Standard
Thursday 13th March

Although the past
Is carved in stone
The future's ours
To call our own

If only I'd known
All those what ifs
To grasp each moment
In life and exist

Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

Remembering Frank

Standard
Wednesday 12th March

How can it be?
Ten years have passed
Since you were here
And breathed your last

Chemotherapy's toll
Finally took your life
Testicular cancer
Had spread so rife

So very much missed
No tomorrows for you
Your future dashed
So unexpectedly too

We miss you so much
Your smiles and laughter
Unfortunately for you
No happy ever after

It was going so well
But treatment was brutal
You took it in your stride
The whole kit and caboodle

Hickman line fitted
Etoposide, Cisplatin
Vincristine, transfusions
Bleomycin, Carboplatin

Three and a half months
Tolerating the pain
The sickness, the hair loss
The merciless strain

The tumours in lungs
And those in the brain
Were surely shrinking
Cancer cells were slain

But on that Thursday night
You left this world
Your pain all forgotten
As angel wings unfurled

Yet laughter echoes still
Smiles linger near
Though tomorrow faded
We hold you so dear

And then came that day
A sorrowful release
Wings lifted you gently
To infinite peace

We miss you dearly
Your presence, your light
In our hearts, you remain
Shining ever bright

No matter how long
As memories replay
It will always feel
Like yesterday

Darling Angel son
Now forever young

If only

Standard
Tuesday 11th March

If only I'd known
The path ahead
The silent words
Left unsaid

The fleeting moments
Slipping by
Like whispers lost
Beneath the sky

Those regrets
Shadows at night
Reminds me of
The fading light

Of chances missed
And time unspent
Of love unspoken
That I now lament

Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

Hope

Standard
Monday 10th March

Yet hope remains
A constant friend
A journey's start
A journey's end

A guiding light
A steady flame
To whisper courage
And speak its name

Gently holding it
Close and dear
To banish shadows
And conquer fear

Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

The world outside

Standard
Sunday 9th March

The world outside
A muted sound
Contentment deep
Upon loamy ground

No need to rush
No need to strive
In Sunday's calm
Just softly thrive

The hours drift
A languid stream
A peaceful day
A mellow dream

With gentle sighs
And quiet bliss
Soporific Sunday
A tender kiss

Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum
