The light fades slowly

Standard
Sunday 21st May

The light fades slowly
Into shades of red and pink
Feeling grateful for this time
As the day begins to sink

So here's to sunset vibes
An ice cold beer in hand
Blue skies and swaying trees
And moments that are grand

Love you so much
Treasured sons
Beloved Mum

Where troubles may abide
There lies a realm

The day grows old

Sunbeams through branches

Lazily

Standard
Tuesday 16th May

Lazily closing my eyes
And taking a slow breath
Each inhale and exhale
I find sweet depth
Just letting the peace
Calmly wash over me
In the tranquility
Of where I seek to be

A sunny morning

What will be

Standard
Monday 15th May

What will be
I cannot say
The future seems
So far away
Knowledge is first
And so you see
Unlocking doors
Means setting free

Out of the way

Standard
Sunday 14th May

Our destination's
Out of the way
But we don't mind
Nature's display
Fields of green
Wildflowers in bloom
All around us
Countryside's perfume

The winding roads
Lead on and on
Past babbling brooks
And fields of corn
We take our time
Enjoying the view
With all the beauty
Of lands anew

Love you so much
Precious sons
Beloved Mum

A Slice of Cornwall, near Gweek
An outdoor lunch
Wild yeast, sourdough pillow bread with squid, chili jam, lettuce, cucumber and mango… Splendid
Two waffles, drenched crispy chicken, maple syrup, pearl sugar and sea salt
Narrow, narrow road… One vehicle wide, with high Cornish hedges either side
We met cars, lorries and two tractors…. Lots of reversing and manoeuvring to safely pass!
Slow and steady
Gnarly trees

Deepening sighs

Standard
Saturday 13th May

Deepening sighs
Stress will depart
Serenity
In mind and heart
Simple joy
The scene devine
Cerulean skies
And warm sunshine

Love you so much
Treasured sons
