Sunbeams danced 
A golden hue
Upon the skin 
Bright and true 

Living life  
Beneath its gaze 
Through summer's heat 
And hazy days 

Yet lurking there 
A silent foe 
A shadow whispered 
Soft and low 

A change unseen 
A growing blight 
Could dim the future 
Steal the light 

So each morning 
Come what may 
Apply sunscreen 
Just don't delay
