So here we stand In the midst of it all Among the joys and sorrows The rise and fall So much to be thankful So much to give So little time Still we strive to live
The Alien Blob The mole on my toe Cancerous tumour It just had to go
But those cancer cells Decided to spread Infected lymph nodes At the top of my leg
So more surgery And hospital stays A clinical trial Lots of pills for days
Yet, ten years later And life is a breeze No evidence of That evil disease
Being vigilant Is the key for me That melanoma Can be so sneaky
Protect your body Look after your skin Slap on the sunscreen Don't let cancer win
