And now we're back to normal 
Thoughts of another getaway 
Are spinning around our heads! 
The sunshine seems so far away 

Grey winter days, so gloomy 
For sunshine, I'll pine away 
Looking back on photographs 
We were lucky to fly away 

And I'm sure we'll soon be back 
For another break away 
Sitting on a beautiful beach 
Like a happy castaway

Replacing the one stolen on Christmas Day

A copse of beech trees
Grinch Mark II was delivered this morning, waiting on the doorstep when we arrived home. I ordered it from Spain, on Christmas Day, soon after we realised that the original one had been stolen from our parked car.

Five hours to the West 

We're packing up, too 
And flying tomorrow

The Sierra Nevada

The Sierra Nevada 
Just east of Granada 
White stuff on the ground 
Snowboarders abound 
A mountainous hike 
Doing what we like 
A different day out 
A snowy walkabout

Snow on the slopes
We seemed to walk for miles to reach the centre
Parking was way up the mountain
The four of us
A winter landscape
So very sunny and warm
Young and old, skiers and boarders, of all abilities, enjoying the snow
The sunny square was so busy…. Plaza de Pradollano
Chalets, condos and apartments built into the side of the mountain
Lots of sunny terraces to stop for something to eat
Bars and restaurants were busy
Snow fun
A perfect viewpoint
Snowy slopes
We took a chairlift back up the mountainside to the car
The chairlift saved our legs from walking up so many steps
We certainly walked a long way
Down there, somewhere, is where we had lunch

Overlooking the ocean 
Delicious food was supplied 
Paella, lasagne 
Tortellini was tried 
Tiramisu, frangelico 
Left us all fortified
