Hope

Standard

Wednesday 10th January

Hope you’re not becoming bored

With me writing about you

All the poems and the prose

That are dedicated to you?

It’s my way of remembering

Each and everything you did

My thoughts and our adventures

Shan’t let those moments be hid

Love you forever

My darling Angel son

Forgotten never

Though your life is done

Walking down the hill to the beach

A number of surfers enjoying the waves

Sparkly, hazy sun over the harbour

Red roses 2

Standard

Tuesday 9th January

Red roses and a sky so blue

Makes me smile as I think of you

Red roses and the sky so grey

Makes me think of all you’d say

Red roses in the sparkling sun

Makes me remember you my son

Red roses twinkling with raindrops

Makes my face run with wet teardrops

Red roses with petals folded tight

Makes me exhale with such delight

Red roses with thorns so sharp

Makes me hear sounds from a harp

To the moon and back

Beyond the stars

Around the world

Sweetheart Angel son

You are…..

Standard

Sunday 7th January

You are the warming sun

On a bitterly cold day

The intensely blue sky

Chasing away clouds of grey

You are the breaking waves

Crashing across the bay

The soaring seabirds

Diving through the spray

You are the trees’ branches

Leafless as they bend and sway

The bright twinkling stars

In the spinning Milky Way

You are my darling Angel son

Up in heaven is where you lay

Looking down from up above

Wish you were back here to stay

A cold wind’s a blowing

The harbour bathed in late afternoon sun

Long shadows across the sand

All the times

Standard

Saturday 6th January

Remembering all the times

The laughter and your smile

Grateful for those moments

On which I ponder a while

You said “Write a book about me”

Many adventures to compile

With much love, cuddles and hugs

Thankful you were so tactile

No regrets, no none at all

You had such a unique style

An enigma, or a one off

So much to recall, erstwhile

Love you forever my Angel

Keeping your memories alive

Standard

Friday 5th January

My son. My Angel. My boy.

Love you. Miss you. Thinking of you.

In my head. In my mind. In my heart.

I live on. Whilst you are gone.

Keeping your memories alive.

Loved you then.

Love you still.

Always have.

Always will.

We saw a bird of prey this morning, whilst visiting you

Perhaps a buzzard…?

Very chilly on Porthmeor Beach this afternoon

Not too many people around

I’ll ask….

Standard

Thursday 4th January

I’ll ask the wind

To carry to you

All my kisses

To the sky so blue

I’ll ask the sun

To shine on you

To warm your skin

Making you smile too

I’ll ask the rain

To wash away

Those tears of mine

Falling everyday

Love you forever

My darling Angel son

Reflections on an incoming tide

No longer apart

Standard

Wednesday 3rd January

Thinking of you

I am trying to smile

But also shedding tears

Remembering you

As I do every day

Even though it hurts

Missing you

I’m making new memories

But holding yours so dear

Loving you

Each waking moment

Even if I can no longer see you

Dreaming of you

Is how we can be together

So we’re no longer apart

Loved you then

Love you still

Always have

Always will

Dearest Angel son

Low tide in the harbour

Big waves hitting Man’s Head

Never stop

Standard

Tuesday 2nd January

You never stop loving someone

Just because they’re not here

You never stop missing

All those times you shared

You’ll never stop thinking

Of the adventures you had

If you keep on remembering

And speaking their name

The memories will remain

As clear and sharp as the day

When all was right with the world

I love you my darling Angel

Those trees again ~ the copse on the hill. We took your brother to the airport, to fly back to Spain, this morning.
