Tumble

Standard
Saturday 19th June

Feelings hidden
But thoughts tumble
A flowing stream
Or white water rapids
Murky depths
Then crystal clear
Caught between
An open road
And an unknown highway
Waves crash in
Dispelling footprints
The mapped out path
Obliterated
Hypnotised by
Changing scenery
Bewildered and
Discombobulated
Questions unanswered
Future uncertain
Recurrent nightmares
Faltering steps
But head held high
This is the way
To breathe, survive
Embracing memories
Celebratory and proud

In my thoughts
Forever and always
Precious Angel son

A warm and sunny morning

Alive in our hearts

Standard
Friday 18th June

Alive in our hearts
Memories still clear
We miss you so much
My darling, my dear
You walk beside us
We can feel you near
We love you sweetheart
And wish you were here

A breezy Porthmeor Beach
Choppy waves
Not so good for surfing today
Calmer, and much warmer in the harbour
Slipway to the lifeboat house
Self drive boats

Last evening

Standard
Sunday 13th June

We went out last evening
To watch the Red Arrows
Such an awesome display
They're RAF heroes

For Boris' barbecue
Such aerobatic prowess
Screaming in, fast and low
They really were the loudest

You would have enjoyed
The great exhibition
Noisy and colourful
Those jets on a mission

Thinking of you
Beloved Angel son

The sun is shining
The mist has lifted
Temperature's rising
Sunburn's predicted

Slap on protection
And wear a big hat
Just keep hydrated
Safety's where it's at

Police have been issued
With lots of sunscreen
Shifts are twelve hours
They're friendly and keen

Thinking of you sweetie

Sounding the Alarm

Standard
Friday 11th June

Sounding the alarm
Shout the protesters
A climate crisis
Written in big letters

I think you would have
Liked the samba drums
My darling Angel son
