Tuesday 6th July
Intensely aware
That you're not here
Acutely conscious
That the pain's severe
We'll meet you again
Of that I'm sure
My sweet Angel son
I'll hug you some more
And until that day
I'll cherish the thought
Of fun and laughter
All the love you brought
Love you poppet
Treasured Angel son

My home town. As kids we would hang over the bridge and breathe in the steam from the steam engines. Hubby used to be the beach warden on Swanage beach, but before I met him. A lot has changed since we left the area in 2007.

My husband loves the steam trains too, but we haven’t managed a journey on one from here, yet.
Yes, I can imagine there have been many changes over the years, some not as good as others!

Swanage still has a steam train……… or they did.

Yes, it was there yesterday, puffing out that familiar smell of steam and smuts: very nostalgic.
