Factor forty five

It’s after four o’clock

The sun’s beating down

It’s still blazing hot

.

Taking out the kayaks

To search for manatees

Didn’t see a one

Though they’re found throughout the Keys

.

Thinking of you

My darling Angel son

John Pennekamp State Park

Kayaking through the mangroves

Finding shade

The two of us

A quiet spot

Listening to the waves

Swaying palms

Mangroves

Far Beach

Paddling

Out on the kayaks from our resort

Looking for manatees

No sign of any sealife at all!

A cloudy, silver sunset tonight

Breakfast at the Lorelei

“Sunday School” it’s called

Perfect spot in the shade

Totally enthralled

A replica pirate ship

And a floating tiki bar

Such peculiar watercraft

Not sure they’d go too far

Lots of love to you

The Lorelei

A Tiki Bar on the water

Pirate ship

A sunny morning

Back at our resort

Beneath the palms

The place to ourselves

Ready for the sunset

It never disappoints

So beautiful

Along comes the floating tiki bar

A shopping kind of day

Standard

Thursday 9th January

.

A shopping kind of day

A little overcast and grey

Be that as it may

Bargains came our way

.

And, at the end of the day

Sitting beside the bay

We saw a spotted ray

Pelicans on display

.

Wishing you were here

To share in all we do

Precious Angel son

Sending much love to you

Loving the Keys

Beneath palm trees

Doing what we please

Pleasant warm breeze

Stresses to ease

Sunsets over seas

Each day to seize

Thinking of you

Beloved Angel son

In the shade, beneath the palms

An ibis came by

We had the pool to ourselves

And then we watched the sunset

A few more clouds

But beautiful colours

So very peaceful

Here I am relaxing

Here I am relaxing

Beneath the swaying palms

Just thinking and wishing

That you were in my arms

How splendid that would be

A simple life, no qualms

To see that smile again

So filled with special charms

Happy with your memories

Now anxiety calms

.

A stop along the way from Orlando…. Lauderdale by the Sea

A colourful street leading to the beach

A pretty plaza

A little breezy, but the beach was beautiful

And we had a beer.. We’re glad you’re here

A few dark clouds, but the sun shone on us

So good

A lovely afternoon
