Monday 25th December
Someone is missing from the Christmas table
We’d bring you back if we were able
It’s the third festive season without you
Since you gained your wings, and flew
So once again there’s an empty chair
Our Christmas dinner you cannot share
It’s just hard to rejoice in festive cheer
When someone you love isn’t here
All they’ll receive is a wreath of flowers
Really wish I had some magic powers
To bring you back from heavenly slumber
So we could all marvel at the wonder
Of a Christmastime filled with joy
My dearest, darling, sweet Angel boy

Oh, I so know how you feel, and so also know that there is no cure for that feeling. My own poem about the emptiness and loss is here: https://glovergardens.com/2017/12/24/dad-is-gone-and-still-our-hearts-are-full/ Yours (the poem) is lovely.

Most certainly.
Frank did so enjoy the fun and food of the festivities, plus all the presents he would receive.
A child at heart, for all of his thirty years.
