Sunday 7th October
.
Blue skies and feeling warm
In the early autumn sun
Surfers playing in the waves
Children on the sand having fun
.
Lifeguards are still on duty
The season’s work near done
You loved our walks out here
Fresh air, and off you’d run
.
Loving the wide open spaces
Pink cheeks for everyone
Yet now you fly above us
Your earthly life is done
.
Missing you
My darling beach boy
Love you
Angel full of joy

Godrevy Lighthouse

Low tide at Gwithian Beach

Many walkers on the sand

Beachcombing for sea treasures

Looking towards St. Ives
Missing him as always regardless of the season

What a gorgeous place to go for a walk. I’ve never been to a lighthouse.

A bracing walk across the cliff tops, indeed.
The lighthouse became operational in 1859, and the lighthouse keepers lived on the island, but in 1939 it was automated.
It has prevented many wrecks from foundering on the lethal “Stones”.
We can see the flashing light from our house at nighttime.

If you hadn’t had Frank inspiring you you would still post excellent poetry and photography

Of that, I’m not sure….. I don’t really know the answer to that one.
You are very kind.
