We walked down to the river

In the drizzly rain last night

A regal family of swans

Swam over in the moonlight

.

You would have loved to feed them

Throwing out crumbs of stale bread

Then laughing at their misfortune

When chunks bomped on their head

.

You brought such laughter

And much gentle fun

We couldn’t help but smile

Darling loved one

.

Remembering you with love
