Friday 6th November
.
Our love is everlasting
Just as it should be
Your memories won’t fade
In my heart you’re free
.
But I still miss you so
Dearest Angel son

Thursday 5th November
.
A watery maze
Of ripples in the sand
Where we’d walk
Gently hand in hand
Talking ’bout this ‘n’ that
Spontaneous, unplanned
Such a carefree time
Take me back to dreamland
.
Love you sweetheart
Beloved Angel son

Low tide

Porthmeor Beach this afternoon

Ripples in the sand

Wending their way to the sea

Sunny and bright

Rippling in the harbour

Much, much quieter ~ Lockdown Day One

Smeaton’s Pier

Reflections

Wednesday 4th November
.
Your life may have ended
But the love you left behind
Fills my heart and soul
Your memory I’ll always find
.
Love you forever
Forget you never
Always together
For ever and ever
.
Precious Angel son

A much quieter beach today

Man’s Head

People enjoying the November sunshine in the harbour

Tuesday 3rd November
.
Seven years now
I’ve been on a trial
Adjuvant treatment
It’s been so worthwhile
.
It’s not just skin cancer
Melanoma is vile
Spreading to the lymph nodes
Surgery changed my lifestyle
.
So, vigilance is key
Can’t be in denial
Up at five this morning
Hospital arrival
.
Scan then dermatology
Service with a smile
Found a small alienblob
Removal is vital
.
Excision in two weeks
Health to reconcile
I’ll be left looking like
Been bitten by a crocodile
.
Always thinking of you
My darling Angel son
xxxxx

Monday 2nd November
.
A stranger to myself
Not knowing who I am
Trying to determine
In every way I can
That face in the mirror
A fuzzy hologram
Slightly out of focus
Stuck in a traffic jam
.
Miss you poppet
Treasured Angel son

Weak sunshine after a misty wet start

Sunday 1st November
.
Haunted by speculation
Taunted with wonder
Bewildered by thoughts
A lifetime to ponder
.
My sweetheart
My darling
Precious Angel son
Your star sparkling
.

Saturday 31st October
.
Memories
Soften the pain
I revisit
Again and again
.
Thinking of you
My darling Angel son

The Christmas lights have been switched on early

To add a little cheer in these strange times

A late afternoon drive through the town

Friday 30th October
.
Time travelling for a brief memory
A vignette of a long held moment
Suspended gently in distant space
Our love the main component
.
Just miss you so much
My darling Angel son
xxxxx

Thursday 29th October
.
Love you so much
Out of reach of my touch
To the moon and back
On an orbital track
Way beyond the stars
Past Jupiter and Mars
.
Thinking of you
Beloved Angel son
xxxxx

A quick walk down the hill to see the waves

High tide, red flags, not a lot of beach left

Bubbling white water

Half term holidaymakers

A good swell hitting the Island

A few surfers braving the pounding of the waves

The power of the waves rushing up the beach sometimes catches people out

Wednesday 28th October
.
Up and down
Smile then frown
Back and forth
Cold then warmth
Come and go
Fast or slow
Side to side
Show and hide
To and fro
Ebb then flow
.
Thinking of you
Beloved Angel son
