Each new day

Standard

Sunday 8th July

.

Each new day

I feel the same about you

Suddenly you were gone

And away you flew

.

Nothing is the same

The future that won’t be

Seeing you grow old

Now you’re forever thirty

.

Life has changed

The spark is not so bright

Sighs and emptiness

Grief’s bitter bite

.

Every night time

I think about you

You’re no longer missing

In my dreams you’re true

.

Sweetheart

Standard

Saturday 7th July

.

I miss you

And I’m sad

I miss you

Dreams I’ve had

I miss you

Going mad

I miss you

Wanting what I had

I miss you

But I’m glad

‘Cos you’ll be

My darling lad

Forever and a day

Gossamer wings clad

Beautiful blue this morning

Barnoon Cemetery

Standard

Friday 6th July

.

Looking towards the Island

Over Porthmeor Beach

Ocean of sparkling blue

As far as the eyes can reach

.

Many of our ancestors

Buried in this cemetery

Quiet place for reflection

Life is only but temporary

.

This very location

Featured in the movie

“Raise the Titanic”

When it was grey and gloomy

.

But today the sun shone

The view was wonderful

Just being alive

Is so very powerful

.

Thinking of you sweetheart

My darling Angel son

Barnoon Cemetery, with two chapels of rest (one a mirror image of the other), looking over Porthmeor Beach

Looking down towards a surf school in progress

Looking west, towards Man’s Head and Clodgy

Deep blues off the harbour

Roses in the garden

A brown, ringlet butterfly

You’re there

Standard

Thursday 5th July

.

You’re there

Dancing on the edge of my world

You’re there

Smiling in the periphery of my vision

You’re there

Singing with the beats of my heart

You’re there

Playing on the verges of my imagination

You’re there

Laughing on the fringe of my reality

You’re there

Living forever inside my memories

.

Love you forever

Missing you always

Forgotten never

To the end of my days

Sunny Saturday

Standard

Saturday 30th June

.

A drive into Wareham

A walk by the river

A number of ferries

Passengers to deliver

.

Back to the big house

Afternoon by the pool

Pimms, cake and croquet

Trying to keep cool

.

A fabulous setting

For two big birthdays

A Ruby anniversary

Charged glasses to raise

.

Fifty guests for dinner

Friends and family

Husband’s sister

Has done splendidly

.

It’s her sixty fifth

Her husband’s seventy

Their anniversary

A weekend of pleasantry

.

Oh, the murder mystery

It was Dad wot dunnit

He poisoned the magistrate

The Admiral was the culprit

.

You really would’ve had fun

If you’d been here

A big old country house

Exploring far and near

.

So I’m telling you my darling

Of all we’ve done today

Trying to keep you close by

Sharing our weekend away

.

Love you forever

Precious Angel son

Sun dappling through the trees

A paddle steamer coming alongside at Wareham

More ferries arriving

On the bridge overlooking the river

Pimms by the pool

Fountain on the lawn where we played croquet

Murder mystery

Friday 29th June

.

A murder mystery

In a country house

You’d be the baddie

Not quiet as a mouse

.

Being dramatic

Was your forté

Taking part

Acting in a play

.

Such a character

Of many talents

Perfect timing

Never off balance

.

Twenty people

A mixed family group

All sorts of ages

Fascinating troupe

.

You’d love it here

Out in the country

Pretending to be

One of the gentry

.

I’ll let you know

How it goes

Who did what

And who knows….

.

Love you sweetie
