Sunshine and blue skies

Standard

Monday 9th April

.

Sunshine and blue skies

Ice cream and beach days

So many joyful times

Happy memories always

.

Chilly dips in the sea

Digging toes in the sand

Frisbees and beach balls

Pink faces, shoulders tanned

.

Are there beaches up there

In heaven where you are?

With sea shells and rock pools

You’re so near, yet so far

.

Love you, beach baby

Missing you like crazy

My Angel, carefree

Flying o’er the blue sea

.

A kiss in the sky

Looking towards the harbour

So many holidaymakers enjoying the sunshine today

Calm seas

Gentle waves

Emptiness

Standard

Sunday 8th April

.

An emptiness

Since you left

Has made us

Quite bereft

Your soul remains

Of that I’m sure

Just wish you were

Here once more

Missing you

Saying your name

Loving you

Just the same

Porthmeor Beach…. holidaymakers think it’s warm enough to wear bikinis and boardies…… brrrrrr (13°C this afternoon)

But everywhere looks lovely in the sunshine

Very low tide in the harbour

Three years ago

Standard

Saturday 7th April

.

Your funeral

Three years ago

A church service

A heavy shadow

.

You left this world

So many came

To say goodbye

To hear your name

.

A rainbow song

A tear did fall

For my Starman

As Angels call

.

Love you sweetie

And always will

My darling son

I hold you still

Every day

Standard

Friday 6th April

.

We come to visit every day

Whispering quietly as we may

For quite a few moments we stay

Always some tears to wipe away

Beneath leafy branches you lay

No longer can you come and play

Since you climbed heaven’s stairway

And it always seems like yesterday

.

Love you forever

Forget you never

So precious

My Angel son

Grey and cool at low tide in the harbour

A black-backed gull

By my side

Standard

Tuesday 3rd April

.

I have an angel by my side

And he will be my guide

My heart is filled with pride

Yet many tears I’ve cried

Through heaven he does glide

Soaring high, far and wide

And down rainbows, slide

Pillows do the clouds provide

Memories’ll never subside

Angel personified

Our love is magnified

Beloved Angel son

The friendly black cat came to see us today, whilst we were visiting you

Gone much too soon

Standard

Monday 2nd April

.

Gone much too soon

Up near the moon

A twinkling star

Is what you are

On Angel wings

Soars and swings

From cloud to cloud

Above the crowd

Flying high

In the night sky

Can you see me?

That’s my plea

Are you there

Up in the air?

Smiling for me

Angel carefree

.

Missing you poppet

Testicular Cancer Awareness

Standard

Sunday 1st April

.

The first of April

Time for awareness

Lumps, bumps and swellings

Do not feel helpless

.

Testicular cancer

Need to check your balls

Don’t be embarrassed

Heed the doctor’s calls

.

Teens to the thirties

Are mostly affected

Do yourself a favour

Shouldn’t be neglected

.

Don’t leave it too late

For it can be cured

If it’s caught early

You can rest assured

.

A taboo subject

Whispered quietly

Can’t happen to me

Can fill with anxiety

.

Grab life by the goolies

But if there’s a pain

Have your tackle checked out

Your health to maintain

. . . . . . . .

We love you so much sweetie

Missing you like crazy

My dearest, darling son

Precious Angel baby
