Sunday 5th May
.
Tiptoeing on cotton wool
Silently meandering
Trying to keep invisible
Your memories I’m capturing
.
Love you sweetie

Saturday 4th May
.
The seagulls soar
And waves roll in
Day after day
Like it’s always been
.
Memories of you
Sing in the breeze
Whipping branches
Rustling the leaves
.
Thinking of you
Treasured son
Always loved
Forever young
.

Rustling the leaves

Seagulls soar

Waves roll in

A busy Saturday

Friday 3rd May
.
I do miss your laughter
I cannot tell a lie
But I smile at the memories
The fun had by you and I
.
Precious Angel son
Flying high above
Looking up skywards
I send all my love
.

Warmer in the harbour this afternoon

Still windy over at Porthmeor Beach

Thursday 2nd May
.
Six years ago today
On the second of May
Surgery began
Because I liked to tan
.
A mole upon my toe
Started to grow and grow
It was melanoma
Changing my persona
.
It’s not just skin cancer
Deadly, I found out after
Spreading to my lymph nodes
Anxiety overloads
.
But six years down the line
I sort of feel quite fine
No Evidence of Disease
I’m here; the day to seize
.
Feeling thankful
Living with vigilance
Wearing sunscreen
Melanoma Awareness
.

A post from six years ago

A chilly Porthmeor Beach

Grey skies over the harbour

In need of colour!

Wednesday 1st May
.
Sunshine makes you smile
But can also kill
Put your sunscreen on
To enjoy life’s thrill
.
Melanoma Awareness
The month of May
Not just skin cancer
Keep those rays at bay
.

New solar powered robin for my Angel

Pretty blues in the harbour

Quite a few on the beach in the corner

Lifeguards patrolling Porthmeor Beach

Tuesday 30th April
.
Treasured and cherished
Beloved and precious
No, never forgotten
With your life you blessed us
.
My darling Angel son

Porthmeor Beach this afternoon

Lifeguards and holidaymakers watch a few brave souls in the sea

High tide in the harbour

Still rather grey

Monday 29th April
.
Thankful for the memories
Grateful for the love
Appreciative of the fun
As you look down from above
.

Sunday 28th April
.
Keep on keeping on
Doing what I’m doing
Carry on carrying on
Dealing with what I’m dealing
.
Enduring through endurance
Achieving what I achieve
Persisting with persistence
Going where I go
.
Thinking of you always
My darling Angel son

Saturday 27th April
.
Forever in my life
Forever in my heart
Forever together
Never will we part
.
Love you sweetie
Forever and always

Friday 26th April
.
A lazy day
Putting things away
No more holiday
.
The sky’s quite grey
It’ll rain, they say
Oh well, soon be May
.
Love you poppet
Darling Angel son
