Can my heart be unbroken?

Will the pain be eased?

When do the tears stop flowing?

Grief: the interminable disease

.

I love you sweetheart

Porthmeor Beach this evening at 7pm, still warm and sunny

Surf life saving nippers first get-together of the year

The harbour still bathed in sunshine

Heaven

Standard

Friday 18th May

.

Heaven took my son

Made him an angel

The hurt in my heart

Still so very painful

.

So unexpectedly

You left the family

Living without you

Our new reality

.

But you did give us

So much to remember

A beautiful life

Of time spent together

.

Missing you always

Forget you never

Darling Angel son

Love you forever

Hazy sunshine this morning over the harbour

Find you

Standard

Thursday 17th May

.

I will always find you

When I look up to the sky

Beyond the wispy clouds

That’s where I know you fly

.

At night you lay your head

Upon a white, fluffy pillow

With stars twinkling overhead

As the breeze begins to billow

.

My darling Angel soaring high

My perfect little Starman

Do you see me looking for you?

Give me a sign when you can

.

Love you poppet

Sweetheart son

Appointments

Standard

Tuesday 15th May

.

To Exeter hospital

Matching underwear day

The clinical drugs trial

Appointments underway

.

Dermatology for skin

Blood and obs with my nurse

Then it’s time for a break

From the medical universe

.

Then upstairs to x-ray

CT scan with contrast

Back and forth through the tunnel

It’s all over at long last

.

And the final stop will be

With my oncologist

Scanxiety sets in

Have to be an optimist

.

Now a long two week wait

For the consultant’s report

Just hoping all will be well

The days don’t turn out too fraught

.

Thinking of you my darling

Wishing you were with me

Wishing things had been different

That you, a survivor would be

.

I’m sure you were wandering too

Tasting and sampling all the food

Tacos, nachos and lemonade

Also sausages barbecued

.

Love you sweetheart

Missing you like crazy

Thinking of you daily

My darling Angel baby

Sheltered in the harbour

A strong on-shore breeze

Most of the beach was red-flagged ~ probably strong rip currents
