Where you loved to play

Standard

Sunday 4th June

Missing you so very much

On this beautiful sunny day

Remembering your smile

When we planned our holiday

Full of enthusiasm

For fun on our getaway

But since you flew to heaven

Many thoughts are tinged with grey

But the flowers in our garden

Leave a colourful bouquet

And smiling as I think of you

‘Cos that’s where you loved to play

Missing you my sweet Angel

And so that’s all I have to say

Another pretty beach day

A walk along the beach

Standard

Saturday 3rd June

A walk along the beach

With sand beneath your toes

Watching the surf roll in

Smiling as the breeze blows.

Leaving footprints behind

Little steps show the way

Where you’ve been, where you’ll go

Wish you’d walk home to stay.

Up and down, across the shore

Lost in your own quiet world

As breaking waves roll in

Above, the clouds unfurled.

My precious beach Angel

Clutching your favourite book

Walking the sands in heaven

No more a downcast look.

Nothing prepares you for this

Standard

Thursday 1st June

I have learnt to hide my pain

So you cannot hear my cries

It doesn’t hurt any less

I’m a master of disguise

You cannot see my face

With tears falling from my eyes

Waking up every morning

As I face the new sunrise

I know I won’t get him back

But my eyes still search the skies

Somewhere in the clouds he’s there

For my little Starman flies

Nothing prepares you for this

When your beloved son dies

Sleep tight Angel

Adieu

Standard

Wednesday 31st May

A  swirling river of twinkling stars

Forever flowing towards the sea

Impossible to catch reflections

As it incessantly flows past me

As diamond raindrops fall from the sky

Bouncing off the tall green blades of grass

Soon coating my face with falling tears

I know this troubling storm will soon pass

The enveloping mist surrounds me

As I stand silently close to you

Protecting me from the outside world

So I can quietly whisper ‘Adieu’

Love you forever

Forgotten never

Angel son

Always young

Precious one

Standard

Tuesday 30th May

There is so much pain and grief

Your time on this earth too brief

And now that you have gone

The world simply carries on

But your legacy remains

Beautiful memories sustains

My broken heart keeps beating

Love for you, never retreating

Dearest, darling Angel son

My beloved, precious one.

Fluffy, white clouds over the harbour

Bath

Standard

Friday 26th May

We awoke early and left the house at six thirty to drive to Bath to meet up with friends from Australia whom I haven’t seen for four years. They are over in this country, travelling, staying in London at present, then going on to France, Belgium and Holland.

The day was glorious; we talked and talked: reminiscing, and walked and walked and walked: sightseeing.

We began with a Bath Bun and coffee at Sally Lunn’s tea house, then explored the streets, marveling at the Roman architecture, wandering around the Abbey, finding the Royal Crescent of Georgian townhouses, eating a picnic in the park beside the river, strolling across the Pulteney Bridge and looking at the masses of water flowing over the weir. We ended the day with a few beers, sitting outside at a pub, chilling, chatting and people watching.

A terrific day, catching up with old friends, enjoying the lovely sunny weather.

You liked Bath my darling, and as we were walking around, I imagined you with us, every step of the way.

Love you sweetheart.

Beloved Angel son.
