Friday 29th January
.
Sometimes I turn
To talk to you
And when I look
I see right through
An empty space
With misty hue
Trying to imagine
I’ll bump into
My darling Angel
If only you knew
I’ll wait and wait
To rendezvous
.
Always and forever
Precious Angel son

So lovely and touching 🌹

I think talking to oneself is OK. I write my poems in my head but always repeat aloud. It helps me understand what I was trying to say and helps with editing. And though I share some poems (mostly the silly ones), my words/ideas are really messages to myself.
My whole computer is filled with poems never shared. I used to feel sad that my family will probably never read them. It’s not like finding a diary in a trunk in an attic. But now it’s enough that I wrote them. 🙂

Thank you.
Sometimes I too write lines of poetry in my head, then recite out loud, before writing it down, in draft first.
And yes, they are personal messages that I find therapeutic to put together, mostly on behalf of my son.
I think you should share more of your poetry 😊
Take good care and stay safe.
