Your precious light will always shine

As your heart beats along with mine

Forming a treasured love, so divine

I’m constantly looking for a sign

To continue with your storyline

Being a lover of all things equine

Galloping quietly in the moonshine

Missing you

Love you more

My beautiful Angel

We all adore

Sunday 10th July

Google photos wanted to reliably inform me this morning, that on this date, six years ago, we had come to watch you at your open day gymkhana.

A set of photos that we had taken on that happy, sunny day……

You were twenty-five years old, and had had so much fun, showcasing your horse riding skills, competitiveness, and ability to work in a team. You gained a number of rosettes for your efforts and were quietly pleased that you had done so well. As someone who shunned the limelight, you stood for applause and photographs in front of many parents and helpers.

We were so very proud of you.

Love you forever my horse riding Angel.

Missing you each and every day.

My precious Angel warrior
Galloping across the skies
Filled with equine euphoria
As you catch another sunrise.

You and Warrior, standing in front of the Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy

A number of years ago, when you attended the Fortune Centre, in the New Forest, we commissioned a painting of you, with your favourite horse.
You were eighteen, and had spent the most amazing three years gaining your Further Education through Horsemanship qualification.
Such an achievement for you, such happy times.

We miss those carefree days.
We miss you so very much.
Love you forever.
My precious Angel warrior.

“We are all of us stars, and we deserve to twinkle.”

When you were sixteen and had finished school, you went to an amazing place in the New Forest, called the Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy. You spent three marvellous years gaining a qualification: Further Education through Horsemanship.
Here you progressed with your riding skills, improved your literacy and numeracy, worked on your social skills, leading towards an independent and fulfilling life.

Every summer there was a presentation day, where the students would put on riding exhibitions, show parents around the stables and the many facilities, rounded off with prize-giving.

Every year you received an award.
Here you are being presented with the Wheeler Cup for Kindness.
You always wanted to help others, making sure that everything was all right with them.

In other years you also received a cup for Humour, and one for Teamwork.
It really was quite prestigious for you, although sometimes you ran away and hid during the presentation ceremonies, as you didn’t like being the centre of attention, or going up to shake hands with a dignitary and accept your award.

Mr Funny Face

What a wonderful opportunity you had here, you really flourished among such a caring group of educators, and relished your life with the horses.

My Angel horseman.
Riding on high.
Dearest son.
Love you.
