A walk along the beach
With sand beneath your toes
Watching the surf roll in
Smiling as the breeze blows.
Leaving footprints behind
Little steps show the way
Where you’ve been, where you’ll go
Wish you’d walk home to stay.
Up and down, across the shore
Lost in your own quiet world
As breaking waves roll in
Above, the clouds unfurled.
My precious beach Angel
Clutching your favourite book
Walking the sands in heaven
No more a downcast look.
