Tuesday 5th December
One thousand days and empty nights
As though someone turned out the lights
We didn’t know it was close to the end
We really thought you were on the mend
No longer we’ll hear the sound of laughter
You didn’t have that ‘Happy ever after’
Emptiness is all that remains
Since you broke free from those mortal chains
I tried so hard to save you that night
But you slipped away without a fight
Our darling boy in heaven above
We are sending to you so much love

You take such fantastic pictures. A rapsody of colours and shapes, lights and shades.
I didn’t realise you had another son, such a handsome guy and sweet smile as well.

Thank you.
We are lucky that my son’s girlfriend is from Badajoz, otherwise we would never have come across this place.
It’s not really on the tourists’ map, two hours East of Lisbon, in an area called Extremadura. However there is so much history here, from the Arab influence seen in the amazing Moorish castle, to the Napoleonic and Spanish wars.
There are also many spectacular churches and wonderful cathedral.
An added bonus is the beautiful blue sky.

I love both my boys, and so happy to have them both with me ~ one physically, and one spiritually.

More excellent views. I swear that cobbled street is whirling

Thank you.
I was fascinated by those cobbles ~ it must have taken ages to place, to be symmetrically pleasing, with correct spacing and similar sizing.

The buildings are wonderful ~ so much to see when you look up. And the roads and pavements are great too ~ cobbled, mosaic or made of marble….
