Monday 14th May
.
Gift of an angel
Of that I know
Far too soon
You had to go
.
Angel of mine
Precious and true
Unwanted gift
Rather have you
.
Beloved son

Porthmeor blue

Harbour reflections

Cloudy horizon

Seal Island boat

Glassy sea

Sunday 13th May
.
You’re in my heart
Not in my arms
Memories
Dull pain calms
.
You’re in my mind
Not here with me
Memories
So carefree
.
You’re in my soul
And there you’ll stay
Memories
Love convey
.
Love you
Miss you

Calm harbour this afternoon

Cooler on Porthmeor Beach

Saturday 12th May
.
Dark clouds gathering in the sky
People trudging across the sand
Food festival on the beach
Fish and chips, with beer in hand
.
Colourful flags fluttering
Music playing from the marquee
Bouncy castles and carousels
With much entertainment to see
.
I’m sure you were wandering too
Tasting and sampling all the food
Tacos, nachos and lemonade
Also sausages barbecued
.
Love you sweetheart
Missing you like crazy
Thinking of you daily
My darling Angel baby
.

The annual Food Festival

On Porthminster Beach

Drawing a good crowd

Dark clouds and silver sea in the harbour

Lambeth Walk waves

Friday 11th May
.
Brokenhearted
Missing piece
Can’t be mended
Pain won’t cease
.
Melancholic
Hard to break free
Big black cloud
Following me
.
Need your smile
Exuberance
Brighten my day
A loving glance
.
Darling Angel
Soars high tonight
Above us mortals
Star shining bright
.

Me and my Angel, April 2010

Thursday 10th May
.
Smiling into the blue
Such a beautiful hue
Whilst thinking of you
Wispy clouds blow through
My heart beats anew
With a love so true
.
Missing you every moment
Loving you always
Dearest Angel son

Sheltered in the harbour

A strong on-shore breeze

Most of the beach was red-flagged ~ probably strong rip currents

Wednesday 9th May
.
Watching, waiting
Concentrating
Bright, beady eye
Against grey sky
Equipped to swoop
Your ice cream scoop
Seabird squawking
Forever mocking
Fly through the spray
Soaring away
.
And you
My Darling…..
Fly high
Love you
Miss you
Angel son

Porthmeor Beach with surfers enjoying the waves

Watching, waiting

Steely, grey sea

Tuesday 8th May
.
It pains so much
But I never give up
Thinking of you
Sweet buttercup
It hurts at times
But I won’t give in
Remembering you
Much love within
.
Precious Angel son

A much better day, today

Monday 7th May
.
Searching for the sunshine
Warmth to lift the spirits
Driving to the South coast
Certainly has its merits
.
Blue skies and colourful flags
A marina filled with yachts
People at pavement cafés
Smiling and laughing lots
.
You liked going to Falmouth
Walking the length of the street
Looking in all the bookshops
A special pocket-money treat
.
As if you were here beside us
Then off you’d go, on your own
So fiercely independent
No need for a chaperone
.
So, were you with us today
My precious, darling boy?
A delightful sunny day
Filled with love and joy
.
Love you
Miss you
Moon and back
Beloved Angel son

All kinds of watercraft

Heading out towards Carrick Roads

Colourful flags fluttering in the sunshine

Port Pendennis marina

Sunday 6th May
.
Crawling up from the sea
Slow, grey fingers of mist
Now shrouding the beach
All day long, did persist
.
Sneaking through the trees
The nebulous, wispy veil
Excluding the sun’s warmth
Picnic plans must curtail
.
Thinking of you
Precious Angel son

The harbour is down there somewhere

Mist billowing through the trees

Devoid of colour

Saturday 5th May
.
The rest of the country
Might be bathed in sunshine
But down here in Cornwall
The fog clings to the brine
.
Feels a little like me
Stuck beneath a dark cloud
Whilst all around I see
Smiles, laughter in the crowd
.
Out on the horizon
I can see the blue sky
Edging ever closer
My world to beautify
.
Remembering your sweet smile
Dearest, darling Angel son

Foggy Bank Holiday weekend on Porthmeor Beach

Low tide and grey in the harbour
