Saturday 5th May
.
The rest of the country
Might be bathed in sunshine
But down here in Cornwall
The fog clings to the brine
.
Feels a little like me
Stuck beneath a dark cloud
Whilst all around I see
Smiles, laughter in the crowd
.
Out on the horizon
I can see the blue sky
Edging ever closer
My world to beautify
.
Remembering your sweet smile
Dearest, darling Angel son

Foggy Bank Holiday weekend on Porthmeor Beach

Low tide and grey in the harbour

Smeaton’s Pier
I believe many people who are smiling just don’t want you to see the sadness they are covering. It requires bravery to let others see the way you’re really feeling.

Yes, the fog is cloying – on the beach, and in your brain sometimes. You just can’t shake it. Very nice words Melanie.

Thank you…. so do I….
Unfortunately it was another day where the sea fog rolled in, and failed to clear. A few miles away, or on the south coast, it was beautiful.
I think we’ll venture further afield tomorrow.
