Just missing

Standard

Saturday 10th June

I’m just missing

Everything about you

Smiles and laughter

Our happy ever after

Arguments and tears

A precious thirty years

Joyful voices, stories to tell

You should be here, alive and well

Above the clouds, fly high

My darling Angel in the sky

Raining

Standard

Friday 9th June

It’s raining over my soul

Grey clouds surround my heart

I’m trying to look for rainbows

To stop me falling apart

I’m searching for a sign from you

My dearest, darling sweetheart

A little feather blows my way

I know we’re not really far apart

Fly high

Beloved Angel son

Watching the birdie

Standard

Thursday 8th June

Watching the birdie

Wings open in flight

Hovering close by

Beneath the sunlight

Curious seagull

Large appetite

For tourists’ ice creams

A pre-emptive strike

Go fly out to sea

Catch fish like before

Instead of stealing

From humans ashore

You’d never walk along

Eating food outdoors

Quite rightly thinking

What’s mine isn’t yours

Love you sweetheart

Treasured Angel son

Watching the birdie

Big clouds and sunshine

Sunshine between the showers

Surfers enjoying the waves

Man with the kite

Standard

Tuesday 6th June

The wind has blown the rain away

Thoughts of you are carried in the breeze

But my love for you won’t be scattered

As those fragile leaves shaken from trees

I’ll hold on tight

Like the man with the kite

And breathing slowly, my pain to ease.

Beloved Angel son

Flying high

The beach, red-flagged today, but good for kite flying

An empty beach, with rough seas

Lots of white horses

Much calmer in the harbour

Okay

Standard

Monday 5th June

Drops of rain

Hide the tears

Not the pain

Lasts for years

Cold sea breeze

Blowing strong

Ill at ease

All day long

Feeling down

Don’t know why

Forehead frown

Great big sigh

So, tomorrow

Brand new day

That I know

I’ll be okay

Angel son

In my heart

Thirty years young

Never apart

Cold, wet and windy. Sheltering beneath the trees

Where you loved to play

Standard

Sunday 4th June

Missing you so very much

On this beautiful sunny day

Remembering your smile

When we planned our holiday

Full of enthusiasm

For fun on our getaway

But since you flew to heaven

Many thoughts are tinged with grey

But the flowers in our garden

Leave a colourful bouquet

And smiling as I think of you

‘Cos that’s where you loved to play

Missing you my sweet Angel

And so that’s all I have to say

Sitting in the back garden, aged five

Snap-dragons in our garden today

Colourful, tall antirrhinums

Dancing fuchsia

Another pretty beach day

A walk along the beach

Standard

Saturday 3rd June

A walk along the beach

With sand beneath your toes

Watching the surf roll in

Smiling as the breeze blows.

Leaving footprints behind

Little steps show the way

Where you’ve been, where you’ll go

Wish you’d walk home to stay.

Up and down, across the shore

Lost in your own quiet world

As breaking waves roll in

Above, the clouds unfurled.

My precious beach Angel

Clutching your favourite book

Walking the sands in heaven

No more a downcast look.
