Saturday 28th January
Walking with the pain
Smiling through the heartache
Breathing along with stress
Functioning but close to tears
Traveling with excess baggage
Appearing normal yet crushed
Reminiscing with a heavy heart
Loving you beyond the stars
My precious Angel son

So true. Thank you for sharing.

Writing has been quite therapeutic for me ~ a way to journal my memories, experiences and thoughts.

Your posts are heartwrenching. No one can tell you how long to grieve. You have a mother’s heart. But I pray you find some relief. I am sure your son would not want you spend your life in sorrow. The Bible tells us that God will wipe every tear in heaven. “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…” (Rev. 21: 4). May that bring you some consolation. ❤

Hello Melanie. Thank you for following me. I am not really a writer but I enjoy posting short blogs sometimes. My nickname is Dai and my UK home is in Bournemouth. I find myself in Lisbon these days due to unusual circumstances. Right now I’m struggling to get my S1 form from the UK authorities so that I can use the Portuguese Health Service. I’ve only been to Cornwall one time but I loved it. We sailed from Penzance to the Scily Isles (by ferry) in gale force winds and that was an amazing experience. Have a peaceful day, Melanie.

Hello Dai.
Great to have a little insight into your travels ~ I have to admit, although living in Cornwall for nearly thirty years, and working in Penzance, I have never visited the Scilly Isles, but understand they are truly beautiful.
Take care.

Thank you Melanie. When we reached St Mary’s there was heavy rain and it was dark and windy. We found a place to have lunch and sit and wait until the boat went back to Penzance. But it was worth going just for the excitement of the journey. Have a peaceful day, Melanie. I have only one place to go today and that’s to collect my monthly transport pass about 1.1/.2 miles from here. Dai
