The silence of you

Standard

Thursday 9th February

One hundred weeks of heartache

One hundred weeks of Why?

I know you’re there in heaven

Just wish you were by my side.

Seven hundred days without you

Seven hundred days of pain

I’ll grieve for you forever

Until I can see you again.

Each morning’s just the same

Waking up and you’re not there

Reliving that terrible night

The silence of you is everywhere.

  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .

It’s Thursday. Again.

One hundred weeks ago

Seven hundred days ago

Since you took your last breath.

I miss you so much

Love you forever

Precious Angel

Beloved son.

  1. 😢, thank you for this! It’s amazing how you never stop grieving the death of your child ever. I watched my mum grieve my sister’s death for over 20 years until her own death.Beautiful poem, well written.❤
