Monday 4th September
I imagine we’re walking along the sand
Watching the sunset, hand in hand
Warmth of the day, shoulders tanned
Colours in the sky change, as we stand
Listening to the sounds of a steel band
Thinking of you, when life was grand
For now we exist in No Man’s Land
The path of our lives didn’t go as planned
Stuck in the mud, sinking in quicksand
But the love in my heart does expand
And I just wish that I could understand
My Angel son
Forever young

This is a beautiful post. I absolutely LOVE your poetry. Just hope this will post, since I am having serious computer connection problems. Laptop and WiFi just don’t play well together lately. Guess I have some wires crossed online as well as in my brain.

Thank you so much for your lovely words; very much appreciated, and I’m glad your post reached me.
Do hope your technological problems resolve themselves.

From your lips to God’s ears, Melanie. I don’t give up easily but this one is about to defeat me completely. If I can catch the guy down the hall who works on computers maybe he can save my sanity on this one. If not, someone should stand under my window and just wait til this thing hits the ground. Sometimes that’s all it really takes, a good kick in the modem!

Your poetry is beautiful and those photos are divine! The photo of him swimming in the pool helped me feel a bit cooler. It’s warm here today!

An absolutely heartfelt poem, and I know, the understanding part, takes a while, and you’ll heal ok, but the memories stay. And I loved your glorious photos, yep, I’m super jealous.
